Cleveland, TN is located South East Tennessee in Bradley County. The city is in close proximity to Polk County (where the whitewater portions of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics were held) as well as Hamilton County, where Chattanooga is located.
In addition to established companies such as Whirlpool, Olin, Life Care Centers of America, Bowater, and Duracell, the Cleveland area has become a destination for many large companies such as Amazon and new technology production companies such as Wacker. There are at least a dozen fortune 500 companies in the area.
The area is nestled in the edge of the Cherokee National Forest, part of the Great Smokey Mountains and the area is brimming with lakes, rivers, mountains and forests. The Ocoee river is an internationally recognized rafting destination in the area and thousands flock there each year for rafting and kayaking. In addition to water adventures, the area has many camping areas and hiking trails and a lot of native flora and fauna.
The area is also steeped in Cherokee Indian and civil war history and several sites around the area, such as Red Clay offer a glimpse into the area’s past.
